They will eventually break down, but not as fast as the rest of the body. i am thinking the shells would last a really long time, even if they have split and the fluid has leaked out.

    4. How long do breast implants last?
A breast implant will not last forever. You should expect to have to replace your breast implants at some point during your lifetime. The Institute of Medicine estimates that the average breast implant will last 16 years. The Food and Drug Administration and implant makers recommend that breast implants be replaced at some point. However there are women who have had implants in for over 25 years with no problems. There is no definite answer.

well first off they try not to do silicone anymore…it is now saline. you have to get your breast done every 10 years to keep them looking natural so im sure after you die they will deteriorate. That would be a question you would have to ask the DR. though

Just a skeleton in the coffin, and a pair of silicone bags laying in the rib cage.
Silicone doesn’t decay or break down.

ACK! I never thought if it like that but…..yes? It makes sense, plastic doesn’t really degrade that way so….ahhhh lol. Even more insentive to become comfy in your own skin!

hmmm.. interesting… i don’t think they would stay afloat because one’s body would decompose and so would the breast tissue.
