To get the insurance company to cover the surgery your surgeon would need to write a letter of medical necessity to explain the surgery.

I am getting a breast reduction done soon because my boobs have caused me chronic back pain for years. I have blue cross blue shield insurance and they already said they would cover it. I want to get some liposuction done at the same time so my stomach is causing my lower back pain anymore but how can I go about getting them to cover that as well?

Either your policy covers it or it doesn’t. Just “wanting it” isn’t enough. Even if it does cover it, you’d need documentation of medical necessity.

I’m getting a breast reduction done and that is all going to be covered by insurance. So if at the same time I wanted to get liposuction done on my abdomen about how much would this cost. I know it won’t be 1005 acurate because there are different factors..but I would just like an idea to go by.

ask the doctor. it all depends what they charge. the insurance can deny the entire cost if you have it done without telling them. they don’t just approve part of a surgery. its all or nothing.

No insurance will pay for cosmetic procedures you can do without. The only way they will is if there’s a need for it or your health will be harmed unless you get them. Sorry.

I have not found any insurance that will cover rhinoplasty, but there are companies that will finance a rhinoplasty so that you could pay for it over several years.

I have some problems breathing through my nose. I hadn’t really noticed it before but the more I think about it, the more I realize that my breathing could probably be better. I have also been thinking about getting cosmetic rhinoplasty for a very long time. I was wondering, if I went to a plastic surgeon to fix my breathing problems, could I also get my nose cosmetically “fixed”, “reshaped” (which ever term you chose to use) at the same time and still be covered by the insurance? Im sure you could apply for government funding if you have health insurance. Depending on what country you are in. Go to your doctor and they could discuss with you options of how to apply for ACC funding.
