I just had surgery yesterday so ive got the compression vest, but when will the skin tighten and contract to where i could see the difference?

That is something that you should be asking your doctor BEFORE the surgery. It’s a little late now! We all heal at different rates. You may take a very long time. We don’t know. And it may be that in YOUR case, the aureola may never shrink as much as you expect. Check with the doc.

Just wondering what happens if you get pregnant after a tummy tuck. Did it ruin the tuck? Did you have to have another one?
I asked if anyone had a pregnancy after a tummy tuck. Not your opinions on the subject. I was looking for people that actually went through it.

that would be dangerous i would say bc it takes alot of time for the body to heal after a tummy tuck. and when you get preg that would ruin the whole tummy tuck bc your juststretchingg your skin again. I would have kids first then have one. ur just wasting alot of money if u have one done and then get preg.

It is an expensive treatment. Depending on where you are having the procedure done on your body will depend on the healing time required. I had it done on my thighs and hips and was uncomfortable for a few days and had to wear a constricting garment. But looking back on it and the results it gave me, it was a waste of money. I was looking for a quick fix and diet and exercise would have been a lot my effective and a lot cheaper.

hi, um i don’t really have any advice.But, two people in my family are plastic surgeons, and one of them is often answering questions on realself.com. So that would probably be a better place to ask your question.That way you can get answers and comments from plastic surgeons (who are board certified in plastic surgery)as well as regular people.hope this helps!

I was told from a freind who had one that you do have to wait about six weeks, as the motions in the area can tear developing tissue and cause internal bleeding or infection. However, I know a girl who had her breasts done and she wasn’t interested in sex for about that length of time anyway because she didn’t want to be touched…

I actually just wanted to answer this.lol. It goes to your arms, legs and butt. I have probably lost a lot of muscle because of the tummy tuck and it seems my arms and legs have turned to jello so watch out. Reduce calories until you can work out as normal. Time for me to hit the gym again.
