Rhinoplasty Question – How Much Does Nose Shrink After Swelling Goes?
Posted on | February 21, 2010 | 1 Comment
I had a full septorhinoplasty with turbinoplasty 6 days ago and am getting my cast and stitches removed tomorrow. My nose appears bigger than I asked for and the tip is too high, but I’ve read that the tip drops considerably so the underside is flatter and the swelling will slowly disappear.
Can anyone with rhinoplasty experience or knowledge tell me how much of a difference the swelling makes? I’m worried that when the swelling eventually goes it will still be too big.

Be patient. It will take at least 6 months for this to resolve. If it doesn’t you should seek a second opinion with an experienced revision rhinoplasty specialist.

Sounds like you have ahad a lot of surgery in a short period of time. Whether or not you have a twist and some residual bone, at the current time you should relax and allow for the swelling to go down!
