Are They Planning On Changing Age Restriction For Silicone Breast Implants?

i know its because silicone has only been tested on 22 year olds, but are they considering testing younger like 18? i would think so…anyone know?

    Breast implants are considered medical devices, and they have to have FDA approval. Since they were only tested on women 22 years and older, that is the only population they were approved for. (you think a doctor would know that). Since they were approved by the FDA in 2006, I am sure they began testing them on women 18 and over. It will be some time though (years) before they are found to be safe. Unfortunately, this is confidential information, and we won’t know anything about the studies until they are concluded.

    Breast implants look better if the person waits until their body has finished developing, usually in their 20′s. Many doctors are performing them on 18 year-olds currently. I’m not sure where you are getting the idea that there is a cut-off at age 22.

    well if you are thinking about having this done then you need to find a good clinic which does this , they will tell you if you are old enough or not , and you need to discuss this first with your family , but if you are under 18yrs then NO you wont be able to have it done ,
